My Claim
A note from Grandmaster Morrison
In 2004 I was invited to join a new worldwide martial arts association. After 2 years of foibles of lost paperwork, lost payments etc. I was again invited, and again more misplaced paperwork and foibles. Not everyone had the same problems with it, but there were others.
I arrived home after spending thousands of dollars overall with nothing more than I had to start with, other than the pleasure of a trip to China and in spite of disappointment, some good memories. I am not faulting anyone but myself for being so gullible as to think I could buy a high degree certificate through a new worldwide organization. I say congratulations to those who have succeeded. I knew I had to re-think who and where I should be.
I pioneered Hung Gar here in Oklahoma since 1977. I have led others to be pioneers. Some have succeeded and some have failed. I have helped some and have been denied help by others, that is just life. I decided to go back to some of my original thinking that led me to many earlier successes. I was a successful leader then so why not be one now.
At this point I realized I should continue walking my own path. I founded the "Ten Tigers Kung Fu Association" based on some of my earlier principles of compassion and discipline. Which is what some of the original "Ten Tigers of Canton" were noted for. I do not claim to be as good as they were, but I respect their memory.
As the original and chief chair-holder of the "Ten Tigers Kung Fu Association" it is my responsibility to assume the upper rank and role of "GRANDMASTER". (I realized I no longer needed an outer organization to determine my rank or level in life. I would lead and believe in myself and help others to do so also.) I believe that "that" is what my Sifu wanted for me also, when he wished me "Good Luck".
(NOTE) I founded Ten Tigers Kung fu in 2002.
